- Framing:
Framing gives the screens a finished solid edge (as in
the samples), closing off and protecting the pattern.
- Tiling:
Tiling allows for large areas to be covered using multiple
sheets while maintaining continuity of the pattern. Some
designs are periodic or repeating which is conducive to
tiling while others are aperiodic or non repeating making
tiling a little trickier but still possible. Call for
info on using this option on aperiodic patterns.
- Scaling:
All screens can be scaled horizontally, vertically or
both to alter the default opening size or stretch the
pattern.
- Filleting:
The radius of inside and outside corners in the pattern
can be changed to achieve a desired look.
- Web
Width:
The width of connecting webs can be altered to strengthen
or allow less light through etc.
- Layering:
2 or more screens can be layered for a striking effect.
In particular, screens like the Penrose KnD (coming soon)
are inherently suited for layering
- Special
Effects:
All patterns can have a swirl or tornado effect added
to them. A few can also have magnetic effects applied
where the pattern seems attracted to an unseen line or
point . Check with us for info on particular patterns.
- Custom
Fabrication:
Fusion screens can be incorporated into custom millwork
in limitless ways. Example: screens can be used in place
of solid panels in doors for hiding speakers or displaying
glass work.
